Safety is paramount in all industrial environments, especially within higher risk activities such as CPT and mobile drilling. Gregg works diligently to recognize these risks and focuses tirelessly to ensure our equipment is designed and maintained in a proactive manner and to the highest safety standards possible. Take a look at our Non-Destructive Testing and Engineering press release for more information on how Gregg is improving our standards.
Gregg’s main business focus is to provide uncompromising industry-leading CPT data collection technology, processes, and equipment to maximize the value they bring. Gregg works to published standards, high-quality management processes, and uses precision state-of-the-art tools that provide the data their clients can rely on to support their engineering decisions.
How does one ensure they are using in-situ tools that are unparalleled in performance? This job begins by going to Holland, “where CPT all began” and seeking out the best tooling. Gregg is proud to offer a line of equipment that is built and serviced by the best in industry. These state-of-the-art digital in-situ tools produced by A.P. van den Berg offer best-in-class performance with respect to any modern digital CPT tools on the market. Gregg works directly with the manufacturer to obtain equipment that is unmatched in performance, reliability and repeatability. The A.P. van den Berg tools deliver advantages through efficiency by using a fully down-hole digital system with next-generation temperature compensated sensors, real-time sensor readout and high-speed data communication to meet the exacting standards that we require, and clients demand. These tools are second to none in terms of quality and are used by contractors around globe, both on and off-shore
Further to these tools Gregg has a fleet of CPT platforms which include, amphibious, track, truck and barge. A CPT ram system can also be adapted to operate in combination with most drills.
Gregg’s Cone Trucks are designed and built in-house, allowing us to respond to the changing needs of our clients by customizing our own equipment. In addition, specially designed probes and samplers are available and can be deployed with the CPT to obtain additional data pertinent to geotechnical and environmental investigations.
Gregg is a leading expert in marine drilling and geotechnical investigation. Gregg operates various over water platforms and marine testing equipment allowing us to provide tailored investigation services in near-shore environments such as ports, harbors, inland reservoirs, lakes and rivers.
Gregg’s amphibious units are capable of performing CPT or drilling in mine tailings, swamps, and other low lying aquatic environments.
Specifically designed for work on rough ground or difficult access. Outfitted with a versatile drill rig or workstation capable of pushing CPT and also taking samples.
Our direct push only configuration (C-20 CPT) is a fully enclosed work station that allows us to advance direct push CPT tools and samplers from inside a climate controlled environment. This workstation can be deployed on amphibious, track and marine platforms.
Further to the Cone Penetration Testing units, Gregg has access to an entire fleet of drilling equipment as offered by their partner Geotech Drilling Services.
